Does anyone know what has happened to The Perry Vale? It appears to be closed and the website says it is available for pop up, functions and private hire. Shame as the staff & wine were great.

Poor location, poor service, poor food and the famous Twitter debacle. It's a wonder it didn't close long before now.

I agree with hillview. The food there was awful and overpriced..

Only ate there a few times myself.

Food was great, and service was excellent. I never went during busy times though.

I've always enjoyed the Perry Vale. I particularly enjoyed their menu when I moved into the area over a year ago, a little less so when it was re-imagined as a bistro but it was still a lovely place for a light meal and cocktail. That Twitter issue was really sad... particularly as it seemed likely they were the target of some attack. Having met the people running it I'm more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Hillview... what was it about the food that you didn't like? Almost everyone I know was glowing in their reviews. It wasn't the cheapest but pretty much priced with other eateries in the area.

I'm also interested why you think Perry Vale is a bad place for business. Its not exactly off the beaten track. The restaurant was a two minute walk from the station. And there are many successful businesses on Perry Vale including a great pizza place, and a pub with amazing pop-ups.

What a pity. We always enjoyed it and my only gripe was the acoustics were poor due to all the hard surfaces - an issue it shares with a lot of other venues.

That's out of order, Hillview. Pretty disgraceful that you should dig up old, discredited trolls and join in with them.
