Found out the my daughter is #3 on Fairlawn waiting list, not sure what this means? Sad does anyone know if there are lots of movement in Fairlawn waiting list? or we could be at #3 for a long time.

Not sure about Fairlawn, but what I've read previously about waiting lists is something like No3 is generally quite promising. Hopefully someone will be along with some actual experience.

Good luck!

Thanks OakR, I thought I would get the information from the horse's mouth, and called Fairlwan to ask about their waiting list movements and was told no one on last year's reception waiting list got a place in SeptemberSad

That's a bit weird, didn't they announce a bulge class very late in the process? If so, then a lot of children on the waiting list would have got in. Maybe they are referring to the waiting list after the bulge class was done?

Or am I mixing the years?

No personal experience, but I have heard of people getting in when they were lower than #3 on the waiting list. But they were fairly high up on the waiting list after the first allocation. Now that a shakedown has occurred and I guess the waiting list has 'moved up' then I'm not sure how promising #3 is...

Y, you're mixing the years I'm afraid. #3 is quite promising though.

Hi bkkmei,

The person I spoke to in admission did not mention a bulge class, so don't know if she was referring to before/after.

Just curious roughly how far are you from Fairlawn? Or have they already published the distances this year.

Which school have you been allocated? I think umber 3 sounds positive from what I have heard about waiting lists previously. How far from the school are you?
