Since January, Garlies Road has experienced a series of tyre slashing incidents. More than 20 tyres have been slashed this year, affecting around 15 different households.

A further incident was reported this morning. While the police have been made aware of the situation, these acts of vandalism show no signs of stopping.

Have any other streets experienced a similiar problem to ours?

Does your road have the large vehicles that enrage environmental activists?

Seems to be pretty indiscriminate. The cars targeted have been large and small, old and new, EV and fuel.

Many years ago we had problems late at night mostly caused by revellers leaving a nightclub a couple of roads away. They were usually looking for a free ride home in someone else's car.

Multiple tyre slashing has happened in Allenby, Garlies and Perry Rise since to my knowledge at least Nov 2024. Police have met with local residents and are interested in dates, times and pics to add to their collation of data. Chances of catching anyone seem slim. Separately I also heard of new incidences in Tewkesbury Rd recently.

My theory is that the damage is being done by a drunk on the way home. Statistics of locations, dates and times might be of some use.
