The next Honor Oak Park Residents Association Open Meeting, which is also our AGM, will be on Wednesday 16 April, 8pm at the Small Hall, Ackroyd Centre, Ackroyd Road, SE23. All residents in the Honor Oak park district are welcome to attend, whether HOPRA members or not.
If anyone fancies standing for the positions of chair, secretary or treasurer, or would like to come on to the HOPRA committee, please contact us.
We will be updating residents on the progress of the Neighbourhood Forum, covering Honor Oak Park and Crofton Park, and how this will give us all more say in the way we want our neighbourhood to develop in the coming years.
It's been quiet on the planning front for the time being, but the state of our roads and infrastructure is now worrying. Thanks to the efforts of our secretary, Stephen Payne, a serious water leak running down Honor Oak Park (the road) from One Tree Hill has - we hope - been fixed by Thames Water. It has taken a couple of weeks, and a road closure, but let us hope that it really has been fixed this time. We have also played a part in getting the badly potholed Lessing Street resurfaced. Other streets also need redoing and we will continue to press for improvements.
