Horrible News

The CBT have just updated their Facebook page with the news they are definitely to close. No idea of timescale yet though, "could be tomorrow, could be a few weeks".

The reason given is that another pub company have bought the building. So it will still be a pub, but it won't be the one that just won the London South East CAMRA pub of the year!!

Hope it's not becoming a rediculously expensive Draught House pub and charging more for some of their tasty ales than the CBT!

Let's try to get them to take over The Honor Oak premises!!!

Word is this is the company taking over.

http://www.camdenbars.com/

As long as they don't change anything it might be ok...

Or it might go a bit too "trendy Wendy". I'd imagine it will be more expensive if I remember rightly from having visited some of their establishments.

Fingers crossed!

Anyone making a go of the Honor Oak would be good to see, really would like to see The Old Bank Premises being taken on by a good pub co. though

I know someone who works for the company taking over the Catford Bridge Tavern and they don't plan to change much at all from what I read; seemed like it'd be run pretty similarly and with lots of ales on.

Re: The Honor Oak, they'd already seen this thread and looked into it but it's already owned by someone else I think.

Hope they are just as reasonable with their beer prices!
