Does anyone know what happened to the 'Forest Hill Urban Design Framework and Development Strategy'? It's quite old now - written in 2003 - but has some interesting ideas. Did it all just get forgotten about, boycotted or is it 'work-in-progress'??

Here's a link to all the documents on Lewisham Council's website:

I think it is still valid and does still get referred to every so often. It has come up in discussion on the pools project and I have a feeling that it may be mentioned or has been discussed in relation to the Core Strategy (but that may not be Lewisham Discussion?)

It's nice that you got a response, SE23Fan.
The lack of feedback to my similar post ages ago (post 887) made me think this had all been brushed under the carpet!

It has been included as part of the planning application for the pool, which I think shows that it continues to have some weight in the planning system. There are actually a number of areas of the document that have been implemented or are planned, but there are still many good ideas that deserve to be pushed forward (improved streetscape and redevelopment of the station area).

It's a shame they didn't look at the document's front cover before deciding to build the footbridge half way to Honor Oak Park!

The Forest Hill Society did ask them to consider putting it at the other end of the platform, but the platform is too narrow to allow that easily. We did get them to make the stairs face towards the rest of the platform, they were going to be aligned so that you would walk under the bridge before and after crossing.

There are some hopes that with TfL running the station that a major rebuild might be possible. Railtrack and Southern were completely uninterested.

Implementing the improved streetscape and redevelopment of the station area would be an excellent thing for Forest Hill.

If it hasn't been done already, is there anything that can be done to try and get TfL to respond to the proposed station area improvements and confirm that it is on their radar at least?

Would the potential timelines for consulting on and delivering the improved streetscape be something for Lewisham Council to respond to?

In addition to the above, does anyone know the outcome to the Louise House refurbishment proposals or is this still in planning? http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/LeisureAndCul...eHouse.htm
