There is a really nice Forest Hill mural on the brick wall below just below The Hob. Many people will know it well, but I suspect many people haven't even noticed it as it's fairly unobtrusive and etched into the brick work.

Someone told me that it used to be lit from the pavement, which made it really noticeable from the street and station at night, and an attractive addition to FH.

The lights are still inbed in the pavement, but just not on anymore. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how it could be lit up again. I made the effort and called Lewisham Council a while back but they weren't much help unfortunatley.

The ward assembly voted to spend £5,500 to clean and light the mural. See details on page 20 of http://www2.lewisham.gov.uk/lbl/document...rsFund.pdf

According to the application, work should be completed by Monday, although I very much doubt that this timescale will be met. However, the money has been set aside to make this project happen.

That's great news, and very timely (hopefully) - thanks Michael!
