We went there for a family Sunday lunch and it was really good fare. I really like this pub as there is a lot of room compared to the Dartmouth which is also owned by the same people , and the plain decor more relaxing. Anyone know what its like in the evening for food, etc any ambience?

It's a great place, always busy and they have events there which are generally always popular and well done. A fantastic local asset, it looks great and it has a nice atmosphere.

The woodsman at the top of Kirkdale (which is almost Forest Hill) is also worth a mention for its excellent sunday roasts.
