Just a message to throw out - regarding a couple of true stories relating to the above types of tenants - that have come my way recently and wonder how wide-spread it is. The names of the individuals involved are anonymous to protect the innocent.

First story - Tenant of new flat development having an all electric supply where they are forced to pay a regular amount for energy - whatever they use and on moving in had large arrears added to their payments, because they turned off the heating to save money - which incurred these arrears???
This abomination of logic was created by SEE and inflicted on tenants - with out them knowing by L & Q. so they effectively have no control over their energy use.
The tenant that informed me of this was worried about being evicted if they complained and the question arose as to whether the flats next door - for sale would have the same arrangement.
Second story - Pension age long term tenant - being threatened with eviction through rent arrears caused by the organisation. There seems to be an issue with under-occupancy - which is not an excuse - cant name it, but its a local organisation.

With the latest re-developments going on in housing - new regulations and rent arrears this could be a case of - dirty tricks involving these wonderful - Social? Landlords.
