I was reflecting on a few things about SE23 and what I'd love to see happen next year. Small things, but interested in views!

Pavements: I've recently noticed the new pavement installed outside of my son's school (Fairlawn) and the converted Old Post Office (Devonshire Road). The paving style comprises smaller and more compact stones, which also seem to "cheer up" the urban concrete jungle into which we reside. Might be nice to have this all along Devonshire for example, rather than the contoured eclectic wobble of the existing surface

Bakery: I use Aga's little deli, but I think a dedicated bread specialist might be a nice addition to our ever-changing parade

Diversity: like many posts on here, whilst its nice to have all these coffee shops, you want the stores to provide a mix of goods and services in our town centre

Technology: I just installed fibre to premises broadband and its lightning fast. We in SE23 are lucky to be part of BT's fledgling offer nationwide, if you can navigate the appalling customer service and install what seems to be a decent product, I could see FH as a bit of a tech centre?

A205: It rumbles through the heart of our community, and there is never enough money to somehow reduce its impact on our town centre. Maybe 2015 is the year when we find a way to address it?

Minor musings, interested in the forum view Smile

+1 for world peace and riddance of cancer

Just as (un)likely as fibre in our part of Forest Hill. Then again the existing broadband is quick enough for posting on the se23.com forum.

I'd like a house price correction such that a one bedroom flat in Forest Hill was once again within my reach. I'm sure when I first heard of Forest Hill about 4 years ago they were about 160k, so knocking around 100k off the average price for a one-bedder here now would do nicely, thanks.

I expect cancer will be cured first.
