Does anyone know what they're actually doing at the traffic lights junction outside the Co-op?

I have to say the phasing of the temporary lights is better than the original lights - South Circ traffic has (generally) been so much easier of late!

Perhaps they are replacing the lights with some 'pedal to the metal' - national speed limit applies - signs.
Wouldn't that be nice.

Judging by the depth of the hole they're digging it's more likely to be the foundations for a 150-foot tall wind turbine!
