Not entirely sure you can do it legally in a built up area.
I think encouraging them by feeding them does not help.

FH is a pretty clean area for easy pickings for the fox's. There is always going to be a very clearly defined border between those who like and dislike fox's

They are curious little creatures which I have no axe to grind with, however they should be left to exist, and not encouraged by human intervention.

But say I want to exterminate as many as possible - how can I do that legally? One or two have run perilously close to the front of the car but haven't managed to hit one yet.

Admin, I believe foxe mis-posted this.
It clearly was written for the pedestrian crossing thread.
Please re-post. Thanks.

lol I like your style. I agree pedestrian crossings are a good hunting ground for prey, but I prefer the wild type, the ones that refuse to be sensible and wildly run across roads, taking a chance.

There is no point killing foxes. Another will take its place very soon.
Would you rather have had a live rat in your garden?

Yes I prefer foxes to rats. If we want to kill foxes why not organise an urban fox hunt , why let out country cousins have all the fun.

The fox brought the rat. Worst of both worlds! Apparently, according to the Times yesterday some bloke hires 2 fox traps for ?80 and then will shoot any of our furry friends in the head for an extra ?60. Not bad value?

Foxe why do you want to exterminate as many foxes as possible, are they harassing pets of yours? As sherwood pointed out once you've killed one another will quickly take it's place or is this some kind of wind up as you haven't stated your reasons for wanting rid of them.
