Several things are in the offing for the Forest Hill Society's gardening group:

1) On Sunday April 13th at 2.00pm we will be doing some general tidying up of the beds in the station forecourt and planting sunflowers there and also creating a field of sunflowers in the currently empty space beside the compost bin on platform 1. If there is time, and the current crop of daffodils are on their way out, we will also plant poppies in the street planters and beneath the trees by the Job Centre.

2) We are going ahead with the Edible High Road scheme again this year - with more than 70 tubs now ordered for the centre of Forest Hill.

Sunday April 27th at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve at 11.00a.m. we will be putting the sunflowers and other plants into their decorated tubs to grow on ready for the Launch. I'm sure not everyone will be able to stay for the whole day, but every little helps, whether it's tying the ribbon around the tub, wielding the staple gun or sitting on a bucket and pushing plants into the compost.

3) Saturday May 10th, 2.00pm - Edible High Road Launch in the station forecourt.
Great news ! It looked so lovely last year ,shame we can't have hanging baskets too,but that's T.F.L for you ,Rolleyes
Hi Michael - great plans. For the Edible High Road, have you considered St Mungo's Putting Down Roots to help maintain it? www.mungos.org/pdr

Seems to have great success elsewhere.
