I noticed surveyors working on the land yesterday so it seems something is happening again...
An application has been submitted for this site to build a house of the site:
http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS-XSL...mkey=60987

In my opinion it is a fantastic house and a perfectly good use of the site.
Agreed. Really well thought out use of the site.

Cant wait to read the objections.
An additional document has recently been added to the application: http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/ACOLLATEDOCS/70657_3.pdf

The last page shows an artist's impression of the house viewed from Perry Vale (although from a very high angle).
I know this site well. I was very surprised at the money someone got for selling as I doubled whether anyone would get planning permission .
I was working on the assumption that must be more than one unit as land so expensive so surprised that you say only one house.
Hope they will have good double glazing on that corner.
What a beauty. Hope it goes through. Is it being built to commission?
Really like it and very hopeful of seeing the finished article
The planning committee were due to decide on this last night with a recommendation from the planning officers to approve. Does anyone know what the decision was?

Really hope it was approved.
I think it is this evening: http://councilmeetings.lewisham.gov.uk/i...1987&Ver=4

So you have not missed your opportunity to attend the town hall to listen to the decision.
Full Planning Permission was finally granted at last nights Committee meeting.
Thank you to those of you who supported our application.

You can view the approved scheme in the attachment.
Wonderful news. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing the build progress.
I to hope it goes well. Could be a noisy spot. Ley us hope not.
The plot of land is being offered for sale: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-...35445.html

£375,000 with planning permission for a very specific-designed house.
There has been building works going on at this site now for a little while now; there are fences around mentioning deep excavation work as well as a stack of cabins and arc lights. Am hoping that this means that the property is being built as looked fantastic in the application.
Indeed I agree the property in the plans looks grand, while not being an eyesore Thumbup
The building work has been completed now and the house is on the market for £2m

A great looking house and a 900% increase in value from an empty plot used for fly-tipping in 2009.
It's a beauty. Can't believe it's 4/5 bedrooms though. Where did they put them?
There is a full floor plan you can view from the link.

Interestingly I see that the kitchen appears to have neither a hob or sink (unless they are hidden in one of those cupboards). More likely all food preparation is meant to be done in the spacious 'utility room' with no windows.

But I do love the central courtyard with the reflecting pool and all the stair cases.
Peering at the floor plan on my laptop. Ah, okay, so the bedroom are on the ground floor in another 'wing'. That makes sense, because the first floor that I can see about the fence it's very big, so I couldn't see where the bedrooms could be located.

Utility rooms are not for cooking in. Either the hob and sink are hidden or you are expected to order everything in from a chef service.
Kevin McCloud would be proud of this one!
