Seems to be a bad fire at the nursery in David's Road, or in Havelock Walk at the back of the nursery. Fire brigade attending. Lots of smoke in the road.

Anyone know more?
Just back from there. It is the house at the St Davids Road end of Havelock Walk. 3 fire engines plus ambulance and police. Lots of smoke.
Thanks for the update, Jane.

I hope everyone is all right?
I hope so too. There was no sign of anyone in trouble but it was probably too early to tell. Fingers crossed.
The emergency services have been there for a while - wonder what caused it? As others have said, hope all's OK.
Hope all is OK saw emergency services arriving around 5.20pm when I drove past.
I spoke to the fireman and he said no one was home, so everyone is safe
Good news - I have talked to a policeman on duty there, and he told me that everyone got out OK. The ambulances were there just in case, but they weren't needed.
I saw the fire investigation van on London road, and police had taped off Havelock walk, and I wondered what had happened. Good to hear there were no injuries.
Ah, so that's what happened. I walked past just after 6pm and counted - as well all the police and PCSOs wandering about muttering darkly about traffic control - four fire appliances, four ambulance vehicles, two police cars, one Thames Water van and a Royal Mail van. Although come to think of it the latter might not have had anything to do with the fire.
