Saw a bit of movement in there for the first time in ages last night on my way home from work.
I wonder what will be gracing our parade in the near future in that spot?
maybe it was a hamster they forgot to take with them

No, it was bigger than a hamster!!
I was posted a notice a few weeks ago about an extension being built out the back, and have heard rumours about it being converted into a residential property. Not sure about any specifics though.
Yep that's the one.
I only heard the residential bit from a neighbour who was having an unhappy 2.30am rant at the entire street a few days before Christmas.
I really hope it's not going to be turned into residential use

...and what was the unhappy 2.30am rant about?
very unlikely. it is in the middle of a row. would make no sense at all.
No, the shop is still in the proposed plans

I hope it's not either.
The summarised (and censored) rant: All the current residents (besides the ranter) should move to Dulwich, as that's what we're apparently trying to be.

Funny

I heard it was going to be another nail bar...not sure if we need one seeing as we have the fab Neroli already.
Neroli is ridiculously overpriced. A reasonable nail bar would be great.
There is a cheap one already in HOP. The one a few doors from the post office.
...and one in Corfton Park called Venus run by a really competent group of girls
Looks like nail bars are the way forward
Wouldn't suprise me if it's a nail bar looking at the people doing the refit
Why are there so many nail bar and hairdressers in this area?
Possibly a selfish question as I'm a bald, heterosexual male!
what about a maplin

As someone pointed out in response to a similar question on the SE26 forum, it's because you can't (yet) get your hair cut and whatever-it-is-they-do-to-your-nails-in-a-nailbar done over the internet.
cheap one by the post office is indeed cheap but my cuticles were left raw and bleeding. not great. Have been meaning to try Venus, because Lily Angel in Forest Hill is pretty awful too!
