Hello everyone,

I'm relocating to Forest Hill at the end of this month and was wondering where the best areas to go for a jog/run are? Any green areas that are particularly suited?

Also, as a new forum member I should probably say hi *waves* Laugh
Welcome to the area.

One picturesque and interesting little area would be the Linear Park along the river that runs from Southend Lane (the Savacentre) down to Catford.

Far from being a "whole route" in that it is just over a mile long but worthy of inclusion.

Also just over the border outside SE23.
That's great, I'll have to explore upon arrival. Do I detect some Scottish affiliation with your profile picture? Smile I myself am a dodgy Glaswegian...
I'm from auld Killie.
Och aye!
you could run over Blythe Hill Fields to Ladywell Fields if you like hills Smile
Thanks Poppy. I like hills but I'm not sure they like me Scared that said I'm doing it more to get around and build a bit of leg muscle in the process so sounds ideal.
If you are near the Dulwich end of Forest Hill, there are some good, but steep, runs in Dulwich Woods - enter via either the top (Sydenham Hill) or bottom (opposite the Grove Tavern) end of Cox's Walk.
That sounds good robin. I had some flat viewings in East Dulwich and like it down that way...it wouldnt be too far a jog from the place i'll be renting either.
I haven't tried it yet but I believe there is a regular parkrun in Ladywell Fields, which unlike Blythe Hill Fields is nice and flat and has a perimeter path.
I'm not familiar with that area...all the more reason to go find out! Smile
I am now in training for the London Marathon - slowly but surely and I will get there hopefully! There are free park runs at Peckham Rye and Hilly fields too on a saturday morning. http://www.parkrun.org.uk/
