Dear Ladies
What a wonderful start to the year last Monday meeting was and it was lovely to see so many new faces.
The next meeting will be on MONDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2012 from 8pm and we are delighted to confirm that MARY JANE BAXTER, the author of "Chic on a Shoestring" will be our speaker.
Mary Jane is a writer and craft expert. She was a journalist at the BBC for 12 years before leaving to train as a couture hat maker. She now runs textile and millinery courses across Europe and writes and reports on fashion, craft and creativity for BBC television, guardian.co.uk, Sew magazine, Cloth and Selvedge.
This will be a amazing opportunity to find out how to, with very little money, revamp your wardrobe and update old items.

We have only just moved to the HO; the meeting is downstairs in the function room not in the bar but pints welcome and yes women of all ages.
Plus of course a couple of drinks in the bar afterwards

Just a reminder that our next meeting will be this coming MONDAY 5TH MARCH 2012 from 8pm and we are delighted to confirm that the theme will be Banner & Bunting.
This evening will bringing out the creative flair in all of us we will be putting together an Honor Oak WI Banner which will be used to dress our stalls at future upcoming Fetes and Fairs. Plus making bunting.
This will be an informal evening and a great chance for everyone to get to know each other.

Just a reminder that our next meeting will be this coming MONDAY 11TH JUNE 2012 from 8pm; the theme is Summer Fairs.
The Summer Fairs are coming around fast so we thought it would be a good idea to use this meeting to get started on handicrafts etc; ideas so far are:
Beaded Jewellery Items
Honor Oak WI Banner
Knitted & crocheted items etc
Bunting kits – completing that already started and maybe some more
Etc – ideas please
Don’t worry if you (like me) can’t even thread a needle, just some along for a chat.
If you are able to then please do bring along some lovely fabric, wool, needles, pinking shears etc. it would really help.
