I assume this is on the fringe of SE23 but can anyone tell me why they are redesigning the roundabout at the top of Sydenham Hill/Kirkdale and why they are proposing to alter the road layout at the top of Thorpewood Avenue. Having lived in forest hill for ages and used these roads daily, I personally don't believe the 'improvements' are at all necessary. In fact, when we're all having to tighten our belts I wonder how the Council can justify making such 'improvements'. Shouldn't they just be saving our money instead or - shock horror perhaps giving it back? I got a letter today saying they were part of a 'regeneration' which really irritates me. There are so many projects they could do to regenerate the area, this is not one of them.
