I will be up front from the start but my wife and I are being nosey! Does anyone know why the police are going through the bins and house on stansted rd at the junction of hurstbourne rd? They have been there since yesterday afternoon.
Could be checking to see if the household was mixing recycling rubbish with normal rubbish?
OhmyDId you see them dressed in white suits and purple botties
I used to live in se23 I dont have direct reason In our area well south
there have been drug-runs by teens who hide things when they are trapped on the run from the police Its a philosophers guess but it should be admitted by the police through the media eventually.
Unless there as been a murder or serious offence, then they for sure will be looking for drugs.

Not sure if " Could be checking to see if the household was mixing recycling rubbish with normal rubbish? " was said tongue in cheek
They are investigating a murder. Police were there yesterday from 11.30am and still there today.
sadly, a woman was murdered there. I dont know any more details. I do have this on good authority, but i cant find anything on the usua news websites, which is odd.
The Evening Standard is reporting that a man's body was found inside a wheelie bin, in the house:

Sadly some good authority is not as good as you think it was a mans body
Sounds quite nasty, expect now FH will be on crime watch
"Sadly some good authority is not as good as you think it was a mans body "

so much for my reliable source!
So sad
I am sure there were not as many murders 50 years ago.
What are we doing wrong
Hi Brian,

The Evening Standard article quotes Scotland Yard saying that at this stage they are investigating an "unexplained death".

Murder is not mentioned in the report.

I do agree with your sentiment about sadness.
ExFHPat my comment was indeed tongue in cheek however given the rather serious nature of the incident it is now slightly in bad taste however I have no means of removing it.

Hi Cellar Door
Sorry I jumped to a conclusion.

“One line of enquiry is that the dead man may be a missing person and we would like to hear from anyone who has seen people coming and going into 251a Stanstead Road.

“If you have any information please call the incident room on 020 8721 4805 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Not sure how true this and probally only a silly rumour, yet ive heard that this house is used as a brothel and the deceased dies on the job - so to speak and was juts thrown in the bin
We are talking about Forest Hill , surely things you describe only occur in rough areas.
