Hi All,

I was down at Forest Hill station and had a thought. The bridge over the tracks is a major improvement now the graffiti has been removed, but wouldn't it look better if it was painted/ brighter colour. Better still, why not get the Horniman to adorn it - such as welcome to Forest Hill, the home of the Horniman Museum or something like that? We should be proud of what we have! Would be an improvement on the current low profile sign. Most people coming through don't even know its there and it would help us stand out from the other boring stations!

What do people think? Could the local council/Friends of Horniman think about this?

Cheers
Nice to see a new poster with some great ideas for improving Forest Hill.

The bridge is going to be replaced with an accessible bridge with lifts as well as stairs.

The Forest Hill ward councillors announced at the ward meeting last week that they are using some of the localities fund to commission some type of art work on the wall of WH Smith for people to see as they exit the station with images representing Forest Hill. Additionally from the localilties fund there are plans to work with Horniman Gardens to have hanging baskets on London Road.
It used to say "Forest Hill (Alight for Horniman Museum)" on each platform sign.
Michael - do you know the owners of Platform 1/Connexions? I asked them a while back to remove the graffiti from their building, but it's still blighting the station's landscape. Hardly a positive welcome to the area.

It might be worth reporting to the council who are meant to deal with graffiti, but then they may not be able to gain access. I don't know who owns the building.
