Sydenham Wells Park is on the shortlist of 20 to receive a renovation bursary from Robinsons Fruit Shoot of £15,000. The five play areas across the UK with the most votes will each receive a £15,000 renovation in time for the summer holidays. Sydenham Wells Park is the only playground in SE London to be shortlisted and we have until April 20th to vote on the website.
OK, so Sydenham surprisingly isn't in Forest Hill (!) and you may think I'm cheeky in asking you FH'ers to vote, BUT, please please please support this local playpark.
If you haven't visited the park, it has a wet play area - fountains etc so it's brilliant in the summer. And it's a beautiful green park. But the rest of the play area needs a make over as it is outdated and there isn't much of it.
Please vote today at the weblink below to help us get closer to winning and spread the word amongst your friends. You can quickly register online or via Facebook.

Thank you!

I'll vote - as long as you're sure the 'makeover' won't include removing the zipwire from the big playground! Rofl
Ohh flip!! They better not!
Can I ask how much will be left to actually spend on the park after.

Health and Safety Assessment.
Printing the proposals in 200 odd languages.
Town Hall committee's.

I do try not to be cynical but life experience gives me little option.

Hi
It's on Wells Park Road; probably 15 mins walk from FH station

Do visit it - it's lovely.

I don't know.
But some improvement is surely better than none?

I voted. I understand this is about children but i have made a point about the elderly using parks for different reasons - sitting quietly for example, mentioning seating and even tables suitable for picnics and reading the paper. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to buy a good coffee?
Agree! There is a wonderful cafe in Manor House Gardens in Lee, although it is right next to the playpark, and having a coffee in th epark, watching the world go by is wonderful..!
Thanks for voting as well.
probably 30 minutes walk from F.Hill station Sad
21 minutes on foot from the Dartmouth Rd side of the station according to Google directions (and I know it's about 5 minutes less than that with a brisk stroll):

Worth the walk!

Its all uphill from FH station before a steep descent. You are brave if you walk, but probably also very fit! We sometimes walk to the Dulwich Woodhouse and collapse in the garden with a pint afterwards.....
