Anyone any idea what was going on around 12.45pm today? I tried to drive in to the station but was discouraged from doing so by one of the many police officers in bullet proof vests. Two van loads of police in the car park with a helicopter hovering over the railway line for some time.
Not the Post Office again I hope.
From what I could see Smiths and the PO were open as normal and people were coming in and out.
Interesting that no one so far seems to know what was going on.
Border patrol now we are linked directly to naughty north London?
Yes Roz I agree strange. Could not fin d any mention on the web.
Perhaps these sort of incidents are not news anymore.
I don't think we should expect people from Islington to walk the mean streets of Forest Hill without a helicopter gunship for protection. They need a good range of defensive weaponry at their disposal. In fact one could say they need to bring their own ar.... oh not better not say it!

What? Like a victory parade?
Maybe next year.
