Does anyone know anything about the folly that I can see from garden on Canonbie Road. I would imagine the folly would be accessed from Horniman Drive but it seems to me as if it is in someones garden.

Circa 1880. Octagonal 3-storey tower of ironstone random rubble with
freestone dressings, ie quoins, drip mould at lst floor level, bowtell
moulding at 2nd floor and corbel table to low parapet (damaged). Octagonal staircase turret. Small, empty windows, with hollow chamfered elliptical stone arches, in chamfered square frames, 2-light on ground floor. Square doorway with hoodmould. Curiosity value.
I went up that tower last summer during a bike ride organised by Lewisham Cyclists (no, we left the bikes out at the front). The owners are doing a great job of restoring the tower and I am very envious of them. We used to live just round the corner and our two older children were friends with the children of the previous owner, and they used to go round there to play. A magical feature - beats our wooden shed by a mile.
Thank you all for your input

Just one more question though

Is it in someones garden?
yes, but don't know what number in Liphook Crescent, if you do a google search you can find this.
It is in a back garden. Number 23.
Thanks guys
