By reading all the other comments and threads I think it's all been covered really.
I was born in the area and have lived here most of my adult life. I agree with the comments regarding living the Horniman side of the tracks and yes this does reflect in property prices. All 3 of my children have been to Fairlawn Primary which is a great local school. I have friends who children have or are at Horniman Primary which is a nice gentle school which they say is great for the early years.
My children now go to St.Dunstan's College although this is a fee paying school they do offer very generous scholarships, one of their friends in their year is on a 50% and another 100%
Taymount Rise is a lovely road as it's a 'no through' road so great for children to play out.
Good luck with the move.
