My husband was going past and asked what had happened. He was told a pedestrian had been hit by a car. It seemed to be around the zebra crossing. Quite worrying as I use that crossing a lot. Sincerely hope that if a pedestrian was involved that they are OK.
Cars do go far too fast along that road.

Thanks for the info Jane2.
I also use that crossing. Fine if the lollipop man is there, but it often takes a while before you get noticed by passing traffic. I prefer to cross by St Saviour's church where at least there is the "protection" of a central island.
Yes cars do go too fast, hence the introduction of the speed camera further up Brockley Rise.

Hope the pedestrian is ok - I saw the car and from the look of the front windscreen it must have been going at quite a speed. The street lighting around the crossing could be a lot better too as I can see how a pedestrian might not be seen at that crossing (no excuse for driving too fast and not being able to stop in time though)

I also sincerely hope the pedestrian is OK. Too many cars ignore the speed limits but how often are there Police about.
