As you can see, I'm new to the area. Can anyone tell me if we get Christmas lights in HOP? I've seen a lovely tree, but no lights

Lights were on the tree and switched on last night.

Not sure if there are any attached to lampposts on the parade this year - suspect not (though I think there have been some in the past).

We always have had Christmas lights on the main drag in Honor Oak, and they've usually appeared at the same time as the tree.

This year the tree's here but the lights aren't. I wonder if they're a victim of cuts? Is it right that the local shopkeepers are expected to contribute towards them? Maybe they've been finding it a bit tight?

Thanks. Just noticed the lights are on on the tree. Not very cheerful, are they?! It's also a shame we don't have any lights down the parade - Crofton Park and Ladywell do. Were there some last year then?
