Now that the winter is approaching and the evenings are darker, is it possible for the council to enahnce the lights in the street and put more lights on. It seems like walking around a cemetery in Forest Hill, so dark and dangerous. Some roads are completely in the dark and obviously a good thing for criminals to escape.
Anybody writing to the council about this?
You should report faulty street lights to the council via their website: http://www2.lewisham.gov.uk/lbl/transpor...t_info.asp

They are actually quite quick at fixing them in my experience, but they cannot be expected to know which are working if nobody tells them.
I know about the form, but I have been told that they are reducing street lights in order to save energy.
Spring: From what I have read via other councils they are cutting back on street lighting due to the government cuts. As regard your fears as a woman it might interest you to know that the vast majority of assaults at night are between men. This is either robbery or turf wars etc
