Forest Hill Library has a variety of events and activities this October to celebrate Black History Month 2010.

1. A selection of films for all ages throughout October (please check poster and leaflet in library for further details).

2. Black business entrepreneurs Q & A session
Tuesday 5 October, 6.30 - 8pm. Booking required.
Listen to advice from local business success stories

3. Mask making (ages 8 - 12yrs)
Saturday 16 October, 2 - 3pm. Booking required.
Make a mask of your favourite black historian, scientist or hero.

4. African paper bead necklace or bracelet (ages 16 +).
Tuesday 19 October, 6 - 7.30pm. Booking required.
Learn the craft of paper bead making and make your own unique necklace or bracelet.

5. 'The Swirling Hijaab' (ages 5 - 7yrs)
Saturday 23 October, 2 - 3 pm
Enter the imaginery world of a little girl playing with her mother's hijaab. Followed by a colouring - in session.

6. Caribbean tales from Sandra Agard
Friday 29 October, 2.30 - 3.15pm
