Went to this today and it was great. Huge event with all sorts going on; cheesy fairground, two music stages, farm area, interesting food, stalls, display arena (jousting, owl displays etc) and lots more. Nice atmosphere around the 'village green' stage with local bands and performers playing to a diverse audience enjoying the sun.

It's on again tomorrow (Sunday 18th). Worth a visit.

I stopped going a few years ago because of the number of gangs in attendance and all the intimidation.

I have been going for years as I use to live in Herne Hill and always bump into old neighbours/friends at the fair. I find that during the day it is very friendly and family orientated but yes unfortunately the mood changes by early evening and I have seen 'gangs' and trouble errupting. I always leave by about 6pm now. I think that the fun fair actually attracts trouble.
