Does anyone know why the police keep visiting a particular house on Wyleu Street? This started round about last December and there have been at least 4 visits since then.
Would be interesting to know. The other day I was painting my window frames, and a (rather handsome and fit

) young policeman and his colleague were running down Gabriel Street and turning into Wyleu Street. A police van followed after a few minutes. They all returned a while later, laughing. Thought it was perhaps some kind of training exercise?
I guess this is why I'm so concerned - in December I saw police pounding past my window and they were running to that house. They questioned the occupants for several minutes on the pavement and one was taken to the car at one point but seemed to be released later. That's the most 'action' I've seen, but since then it seems to be 'friendly' visits. If someone was maybe on probation, would a probation officer come round in a marked car? I don't wish to sound like 'Outraged of Wyleu Street' but I would like to know what's going on cos I'm a nosey neighbour...
Hm, they did seem rather in a hurry. (this was last week) Next time I see them running, at least I know my tax-payer's money is going into their keep fit regime.
Are you sure they weren't actors filming the Bill?
I recall hearing something from another local resident about drug dealing in that street so perhaps something of that ilk? Unfortunate but possible.
No drug-dealing or the like. The house in question was rented to a housing assoc/local council as a home for 'wayward teenagers'. It has since been changed to house only girls, and the problems seem to have gone away.
