Of interest to those in the Brockley Rise area and living in the Crofton Park ward, most of which is in the SE 23 (and some in SE4 and a bit in SE6).
Assembly Meeting this Saturday afternoon 30th Jan., 2 to 4pm in St Saviours Church Hall, 5 mins walk from the South Circular junction.

Agenda includes review of priorities that were agreed in Jan 2009, community notice boards, Youth Forum film and other stuff.
The usual yummy refreshments and a chance to talk to your experienced councillors, the police team and council officers.

One of the best bits of the Crofton Park Assembly meeting was the report from the police from PC Hindle. He said that Crofton Park Ward is the SAFEST ward in the whole of Lewisham Borough.
Number of burglaries reported in January 2010 was ZERO.

So don't believe these stupid leaflets going around about a big crime wave in Crofton park, its just not true. And it makes a lot of people, especially the elderly, very very frightened.

Two tips from PC Hindle: make sure you rub the sucker mark off your windscreen as it tells the world that youve got an expensive Satnav in the glove box, and keep your hedges cut back so that pavements are clear and there's less place for others to hide.
