It turns out that Michelle Obama has relatives in Forest Hill, so the Obama's will be taking a short break from the G20 this morning, 1st April, to visit Forest Hill.
The police were trying to keep the event low key, but the
Daily Express have leaked that the Obama's will be landing by helicopter in Horniman Gardens before noon this morning.
Keep a look out for helicopters and democratic elephants flying over head!
I understand that with the lack of local police (drafted in for the G20 demo's in London) the security at Sainsbury's have been issued with stale French Loaves and will be doing security detail for the good First Lady.
I understand one of her relatives is a Mr Loof-Lirpa ,as reported on the radio this morning. I've just passed the Horniman and it appears to be all cordoned off. Exciting stuff. All this and Shakespeare too- almost more drama than the Pools thread.
Is this true?

I just realised that, and feel rather foolish.

Of course its true. Isn't everything on se23.com? Shame you missed it all, we'll probably never as close again to a US president in our lifetime. The helicopter plus two decoy copters made a lot of noise- only one landed on the former pond area, the decoys didn't and flew straight off. Almost blew away the tulips.
I heard he'll be addressing SFFH on 'the audacity of hope'.
And giving the Big Issue seller some 'change we can believe in'.
Michael was obviously thinking too hard about this thread when he stepped into the road in front of my bike this morning. Pesky pedestrians.

Sorry about that. I wasn't looking properly, but I did have just about enough time to cross the road before you, unless you were planning to turn the corner without checking for motorbikes coming up the hill!
You should also watch out for the invisible cars in the Express report that I linked to above. Just one of the little clues that I left that Obama did not really visit SE23 today.
Don't worry, you were alright...just
...unless you were planning to turn the corner without checking for motorbikes coming up the hill!
I find it's best to ride with my eyes closed in London these days!
