Following the thread about Eliot Bank School, I wonder if anyone has any views about Horniman Primary School?

On the Eliot Bank thread there are some opinions voiced about Horniman School, including one that is extremely hostile. My son is very likely to be starting there in September and I'd be interested in hearing from those that currently have children at the school.
Speaking merely as a prospective Horniman parent, and partner of a former supply teacher there, I would have no reservations about sending our child there at all. Horniman and Fairlawn will be our two preferred schools. Its smaller than Fairlawn, and there are advantages and disadvantages in that. I know quite a few Horniman parents and everyone seems to be happy.
My son attended Hornimans from Reception until July last year when he left to go to secondary school. He did well, had a good time overall and has largely fond memories. He, along with most of his year, got very good SATs results (if that's of relevance to anyone reading this) and I had no regrets about sending him there. Certain members of staff are better than others, like anywhere.
Every child is an individual so slagging schools off on the basis of one person's negative experience is neither helpful, nor an accurate portrayal of the school itself IMHO.
