Hello friends,

As predicted the developers for Green Bank cottages, Taymount Rise have decided to appeal the rejected planning application.

Interestingly the application has appeared as a new application DC/22/127431 and not under the original DC/21/124859

https://planning.lewisham.gov.uk/online-...APR_115353

That means none of the 81 objections raised apply to this new application, clever right? Are the council and developer working together on this? I can only speculate. But based on conversations with councillors, its just about hitting those housing number........

Sadly the thread on this subject on the SE23.life forum has now gone which did have some interesting information.

Once again we require community support; I kindly ask you that you follow the link to the new application, review and raise your objections. It appears the only discernable difference is the removal of one floor however it is still listed as a 4-storey building. Whilst your original objections are still valid it will be worth expressing that the new design does not address your objections rather than simply resubmitting your previous ones.

We have until the end of September 2022 to raise our objections.

Thank you for your support, it's been eye-opening to learn just how shady the whole process of planning is. This kind of infill development will have a negative impact and is a permanent change to the current layout.

I kindly ask you to be involved, as the next one could be in your back garden!

Bad stuff happens when good people do nothing

Kindest regards,

Jack
That is disappointing.

The development as proposed will - STILL - have significant impact on the immediate neighbours and on more residents of Taymount Rise. The new proposal still does not seem to have a good plan for addressing issues that will be caused at the top of Taymount Rise by the additional traffic and parking requirements that will emerge as a result of the development.

Most disappointing is that over 80 local residents objected to the first application and the developer seems to have made zero effort to engage with the community over this new application and understand why people objected.
Hello friends

The deadline is 22 August 2022 to raise your concerns over the proposed development.

We hope you will raise your concerns over the proposed development

Thank you
WHOOPS,

If you got a leaflet through the door this evening, there's a typo on the all-important application number Crying

DC/22/127431

See you all again tomorrow night (palms face)

I had forgotten about the proposal to develop the Taymount Grange site.

Pretty surprised by the scale of the development https://grangecourtconsultation.co.uk/the-proposals/.

Presumably the majority of arguments against the development of the Green Bank site will apply to this too?
Yes I would think so - i can see it will increase traffic and parking issues on a particularly tight bit of Taymount Rise.

It will I think also cause overlooking and light blocking issues for neighbours - particularly Forestholme Close and Vantage heights
