The second in a series of walks along London's lost rivers covers the river Peck which starts in SE23 at the top of One Tree Hill in Honor Oak Park:

I once found myself knee high in the peck when there was a big storm and I was trying to make my way back home from work along Peckham Rye park. There was so much rain that the river had resurfaced and the road along the park turned into a river. Pretty impressive.
I had always been given to understand that the Honor Oak reservoir with the honor (sic!) of being the largest brick built underground reservoir was the one between Canonbie Road and Liphook Crescent/Horniman Drive, behind the Hamilton Nursing Home -whereas the article on the Peck says it is the one at the top of Brenchley Gardens under the golf course.

Could our local historians clarify?
