Anyone experiencing Royal Mail postal and parcel deliveries?

Was told today by the postie that letters are being sorted and delivered, but problems with parcels, apparently two loads where returned to Croydon as Forest Hill Sorting Office are unable to handle the amounts due to staff off because of Covid. Last week 21 of 71 staff were off.

Post being delivered today, got some outstanding mail but more to come.
Our postie apparently is doing 14+ hour days (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon and then back to usual hours) in the sorting office and on deliveries, plus doing some of the large parcels.
Apparently, huge bins of parcels are yet to be sorted due to staff shortages and lack of temps. Hey, they are trying.
