Any idea what has happened and where? Bus driver advised me to walk this morning as Stanstead Road was gridlocked following a burst water main. I walked to HOP so didn't get to see where the problem was or how bad. Anyone have any more information or updates?
thanks,

There is one further up by the junction of Devonshire Rd and the South Circ, only one I know of. And it is indeed causing some heavy traffic.
I saw it as I walked home this morning. At the time I thought this will cause chaos during the rush hour. The inside lane of the South Circular up towards Forest Hill railway station was coned off with copious amounts of water flowing down the road. Curiously there was no-one working there.
You were given good advice to go to another station.
Although there is no longer water flowing down the street, the roadworks (with no workers in sight, obviously) are still restricting traffic along the south circular, especially the stretch along Stanstead Road, Waldram Park Road and Waldram Crescent. It's still much quicker to walk than to get on the bus.
