Does anyone know anything about it, or what Forest Hill School's opinions are on becoming an academy?
My sons at FH School and I've not heard anything via the School or the PTA (I get the PTA emails) about any petitions.

Maybe it's a parent that's set it up?
As the school is rated good by Ofstead it can no longer be forced to become an academy, following the government's climb down last week.
The pressure group organisation 38 Degrees launched a whole series of online petitions last week (ahead of the government U turn) which selected at random names of good and outstanding schools in each parliamentary constituency asking people to sign a petition against them becoming an academy.

The result has been some confusion among residents that there might actually be proposals in place for e.g. Forest Hill to become an academy. There are no such proposals – this is just the result of a mail merge!
