Full Version: Rush hour traffic accident in Forest Hill Road, Honor Oak

A child was taken to hospital this morning (April 29) after a rush-hour crash in Forest Hill, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed.

Two vehicles were involved in the traffic accident during the school run on Forest Hill Road, Honor Oak.

St Francesca Cabrini RC primary school is on the road where the accident happened and Fairlawn Primary is on nearby Honor Oak Road.

The LAS was called at 8.06am and their ambulance crew took a child to hospital.

The Metropolitan Police were called at 8.11am.

A spokesman for the Met said a 17-month-old baby was checked over by LAS as a precaution but no injuries were reported.

A woman in her 60s was also taken to a south London hospital and her injuries are not through tot be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

It resulted in side roads (Canonbie in particular) becoming gridlocked at due to the traffic with long jams, huge lorries trying to pass each other, scooter drivers weaving across the pavement, back onto the road and again onto the pavement. At least one car taking to the pavement and two drivers racing each other down hill to see who would get in front
At times the examples of driving were nothing less than extremely dangerous and poor by some very impatient people.
