The Forest Hill Society have been working hard since last April on a great scheme to replace the existing railway line with the old canal as a step towards a speedier and more reliable commuter service.

Great news. I assume I shall be able to use my Freedom Pass? Will there be step-free access to the Overground at New Cross Gate?

Well done, the FH Society!
Oh Good! Perhaps we can rival Venice with gondolas on the canal.

And we won't need to worry about leaves on the line!
Southern will no doubt be able to use that old chestnut, "frozen water on the canal" as an excuse for delays. Or their other favourite "Lock problems are causing delays". I cant wait.

Still, if they have decent windows at least we can fish out of the when we get inevitable delays.
Nice one FH Soc Thumbsup

This looks great!

Does this mean we can paddle up the line in rubber boats anytime the trains are not in service LaughLaughLaugh

Please say yes because this would be so much fun :-)
Michael, this better not be an April fools joke!

If it is beware!!!

I've got lots of silly string & a Nerf gun you know Rofl
I have spoken with the cab office next to the station and they have confirmed that they will now be scrapping their fleet of cars and replacing them with gondolas.
It's after midday, you know.
Gotta admit I fell for this when I first saw it for a few minutes & got super excited, best April fools joke I came across today LaughLaughLaugh
Quick, let's get those gondolas crowd funded before Boris makes it into a paddle super highway.
