How stupid and insensitive was that blowing up the bus on the bridge the other day - maybe we should send a film crew to US and fly planes into a building and say we are making a film
Would we be complaining if it was a James Bond film? I seem to remember on of his had explosions and a tube crash, no one complained.
Hardly the same is it, seeing that we had a bus blown to bits by terrorists
FH, if you take to heart all the ills that the world throws at us and then relate them to every day goings on your head will explode.

Many movies portray real life events, these real life events get filmed in public areas. A Long Good Friday was about the IRA, they blew a pub up in part of the film, just like the IRA. I dont think anyone complained.

James Bond had MI6 blowing up as well as a balloon blowing up near the dome. I dont think anyone complained.

They blew the bloody doors off in Crystal Palace Park, I dont think anyone complained.

You get my drift.

I am sure this may have scared one or two people out on an early morning stroll but given the huge crew on scene filming I would be shocked if anyone thought it was real.

It seems the only people who felt it was real were not there and are upset on behalf of someone else because they saw it on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram etc etc.
Yeah I get your drift

Maybe you would think in a different light if you knew someone who was on the bus that got blown to bits - get my drift ?
We all feel differently about a lot of things if we have personal experience. You can't protect everyone all the time. They still film disasters in New York. Pretty much the whole of Manhattan was emotionally ffected by 9-11. We move on.
FH, I am trying to put my point across in as non confrontational way as possible. I am sorry someone you know was "blown to bits" as you put it. It doesn't stop the fact that movies are made in and around London all the time.
Fair enough - possible that I over-re-acted
FH, no issue at all. It is the internet after all Laugh

However it doesnt detract from the fact that you lost someone and I apologise if my comments were or seemed unsympathetic, they were not meant to be.
Not a problem - afterall we are all SE23 amigos
