yes im fully aware of the dates they have chosen - thanks for reminding me that my journey will be hell on them days - oh and thanks to the tube unions for giving me the opportunity in having 3 days of hell
I wonder what the practical way forward is given the RMT isn't going to change its culture.
Options seem to be, 1) Give up on introducing night time tube or 2) do a President Reagan with the US traffic controllers in early 80's - sack the lot and rehire on a non unionised basis. The only trouble with the latter is you will have months of disruption before it (hopefully) gets better.
As an ex union member, i dont believe that sacking them all and re-hiring as non-union people is really an option, however i also dont believe that they can hold the country to ransom and cause mass disrupution - not really sure what the answer is

Londondrz - wind your neck in, as we say in Belfast. Re-read the last few posts and you'll see that: a) no one was correcting your grammar or spelling as it was fine, and b) misreading 'your' for 'you're' in this case did in fact lead to a misinterpretation of your post.

I understand that Boris is hiring new staff to work at night on the24 hour tube. Therefore, here will be no problem for the existing workers. Apparently, there is a great deal of interest in being a tube driver. There have been 6,000 applications.
