There was a police line on Dacres Road this morning, stopping people going up the path to the foot bridge by the Dietrich Bonhoffer church. Does anyone know what has happened?
I was going to ask the same thing! It's open now. And the police have gone.
Ditto
Lewisham police's twitter says they were investigating racist graffiti in the Forest Hill/Sydenham area - and there was some horrible graffiti on the Sydenham park side of the tracks, right by the foot bridge. So I guess it was that.
There was also some on Dacres Road (just near the footbridge) on I think Tuesday or Wednesday also. Seems like it's the same cretins doing the rounds...
The graffiti was really unpleasant and I'm pleased it has now been removed. But it appeared late Friday/early Saturday so wouldn't seem to be a reason to cordon off the bridge on Thursday morning?
I had heard it was an assult. Hopefully not serious.
I was informed by a friend who visited me yesterday that it was an stabbing? as Darces Road from Sliverdale near the nature reserve was condoned off.
They've been resurfacing the road hence why it's been closed off. It was graffiti.
