Not sure who is and is not familiar with Church Rise outside Andrew Court, but the tree roots have been an issue there for years.
Now I know its nature and all, and hacking roots of mature trees is not a good thing. BUT....
The pavement is becoming more and more impassable these days, with the roots rising sharply 3-4 inches above the pavement surface.

I have asked the council to look at it, and am told that it is "awaiting prioritisation"

I an no engineer, and have no idea what the fix would be, but do think that if a paving stone raised 1cm requires attention, or a dip in the tarmac needs repair, then these should be looked at too.

Seems strange that the pavement person has been around the local streets inc Church Rise and marked a number of places for repair.

Correct, but just using it as an example of the 3 trees on the stretch of pavement.

Maybe they are going to resurface the whole section of pavement... Who knows...

They seem to be patching up lots of pavement though, which is good.

That is the question.
One of the pics above shows marking on a far less damaged piece of pavement in the next street which is being completely torn up and replaced. But no such markings on the Church Rise one.
Doesn't mean nothing is being done of course, but would be good if the council could at least confirm they have checked it, and intend or don't intend on making any repairs.
Hence I have asked them again to say what's happening.

Seen plenty of people of all ages trip and sometimes fall on the roots, impassable by a wheelchair, not great for mums and prams, and utterly useless for elderly with push along aids or a trolley.
It is indeed good that there are smaller ongoing repairs though.

no doubt this will give Lewisham the excuse to hack the tree down.

Hopefully not the case. They have done similar repairs elsewhere with minimal intrusion.
That said, they have to decide its even worth dealing with first.
