Full Version: Over the hill but not far away - Peckham 'coal line'

Not exactly within SE23 but within reach - I thought SE23ers might be interested in this idea. It would provide both green space and a link between different parts of Peckham http://peckhamcoalline.strikingly.com/

I think someone ought to do an audit on the safety of this proposal - the parapet in the second large CGI looks to be far too low to me.
A great idea, really nice. When people come together, exciting things can happen.
Sounds pretty much identical in concept to the absolutely fabulous Manhattan High Line, where the long-abandoned elevated railway line into the old meatpacking district was converted into a quite wonderful garden.

I just hope they can temper the understandable enthusiasm for craft breweries and have a good mix of businesses. It can't be all beards and barley.
