Thanks for posting-nightmare for boor s*ds like me who have to get to work in the West End on Saturday and Sunday :thumb down:
Its very confusing though- are there any trains from FH to Canada Water on Monday and Tuesday?
Sat and Sun, there's a normal Southern service. So there's 4 trains per hour to London Bridge for changing onto the Jubilee line.
Mon and Tues, the Overground terminates at Shadwell. So travel to Canada Water is good.
BTW - the recent tube strike made it clear the Overground is popular because of the convenient interchange at Canada Water. On that day, the carriages were 90% empty. Everyone must have piled onto the Southern trains for London Bridge.
I use the Overground to Canada Water because there is only one flight of stairs down to the Jubilee line. If I go to London Bridge, there is a long walk followed by two long flights of stairs down.
You may need to all count your blessings as they were at one point - planning to close the FH line on overground all next week plus the one that goes from Clapham Junction through Canada Water
They also promised us 4 trains an hour from all points on the Overground to Shadwell on the TFL mailout and that turned out not to be true. Frustrating especially after I had made alternative travel plans to avoid the crush.
Hi, I'm a bit confused about this weekend. Are there overground trains from Forest Hill on Sunday to Canada Water?
Last Sunday I'm pretty sure I had to take Southern into London Bridge as no overground was running.
Thanks.
yes there are overground trains from FH to CW this weekend
