Anyone know what's going on at 'From the Forest'? Newspapers covering the windows, perhaps just a refurb?
Hope so!
I like that place!
I will be very sad if it has closed, as one of the original breakfast crew I used to love sitting and watching the passing parade. Sadly work means I cant do that much any more but.......
Food Hygiene Rating of 2 (October 2013)... Perhaps they're having a clean up!
Just looked in the window everything has be dismantled not sure if going or refurb
Probably gone.

Coffee shop business is not easy.

Especially with so much competition in Forest Hill.
Wait on see, wait and see......
I think it's going to become On The Hoof
Love On The Hoof, their coffee is great.

Although I asked them about their new premises and they said it was going to be on Sydenham Road.
Maybe not then, but still great news.. that means hopefully we get to keep From the forest as well as On the hoof!
On the hoof is good. Especially the crew in the morning.
Seconded Chris - On the Hoof morning crew are ace.

I'd be interested to know what happened to FtF too. I used to go there, before St Davids stole my heart.
Has anyone got any more information on this?
Any idea whats happening with From The Forest?
Has it closed for good?
Hey!

Resurrecting an old thread to at least try my luck in finding a way to get in contact with the landlord/owner.
Does anyone have even a slightest clue?

Thanks a bunch in advance!
I've noticed that the door to the flats above has now got a pane of smashed glass in it and on occasion the door's been wide open at night.
can't feel very secure for the poor souls living thereSad
I saw an unsubstantiated message on another website saying that the owner says he is closing it for a while for renovations. Doesn't seem likely though; how could he afford to keep it going all this time with no income? Sadly I think it's gone. Hope someone else can take over the shop.
Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking into. Only prolmeb is, no way to contact the owner...
Perhaps leave notes for the people in the flats above?
They should know who owns the building and you could take it from there?
Land Registry search to see who owns the freehold and contact them that way?
