Email received from TFL warning of the following part closures on London Overground:
"This is advance notice of part closures on London Overground services. These are to enable Crossrail to carry out construction work around Whitechapel.
Service changes
• Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July: Whitechapel station will be closed. In addition, trains will not run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross/Crystal Palace/Clapham Junction/West Croydon
• Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 July: No service between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, as well as between Surrey Quays and New Cross. Four trains an hour will run between Shadwell and Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace"
• Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August: Trains will not run between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, as well as between Surrey Quays and New Cross. Four trains an hour will run between Shadwell and Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace
Travel information
During these times, alternative routes will be available to customers and replacement bus services will operate. Other areas of the network may be busier than usual, especially during peak hours, while customers take alternative routes. "
