I volunteer for a local not-for-profit called RUSS (Rural Urban Synthesis Society) that wants to develop socially-owned sustainable housing on a vacant site in Ladywell.
RUSS is having an open day on Sunday 15th March at Crofton Park library from 10-4. it is a chance to find out about RUSS and its vision.
One of the key topics will be the issue of creating an effective allocations policy. Who gets to live there? How will it be decided?
For more information please see the RUSS website http://www.theruss.org/
